The new barn built by Rota Guido at Della Bona Faustino Soc. Agr. is a double-pitched trussed structure designed to improve herd management, animal comfort and operational efficiency.

The dairy farm is organized into three milking groups of 100 head each and includes dedicated areas for dry cows, sorting, infirmary, steaming-up and compost barn.

The calf barn dedicated to the first phase consists of 96 individual boxes and is equipped with an automated feeding system via Calf Rail, allowing meals and the milk feeding curve to be managed precisely and gradually.

The calf barn dedicated to the second phase focuses on the organization of spaces with paddocks, functional partitions and sheltered areas, designed to support the calf’s gradual transition towards a more dynamic and comfortable management system.

The partitions, made with gates, allow boxes and paddocks to be properly separated, improving daily animal management and making cleaning operations easier. The side access to the boxes allows operators to intervene on the animals more easily, reducing unnecessary movements. Finally, the structure, closed on three sides, provides protection from rain, cold and direct draughts.
