Maccarese S.p.A. covers an area of 32,000,000 m² and is one of Italy’s largest dairy farms, with 3,600 head of replacement and fattening cattle and 1,350 lactating cows which, thanks to three milkings a day, produce 55,000 litres of high-quality milk, equivalent to 15% of Rome’s daily consumption.

From the 2006 design of the new barns, capable of housing 1,400 head, to the recent refurbishment of Barn 2000 for 600 replacement heifers, right through to the new 60-stall rotary milking parlour with an office block, technical rooms on two levels and a balcony, Rota Guido has accompanied the evolution of the entire livestock centre step by step.

A journey that combines functional architecture, a controlled microclimate and precision technologies, creating an efficient production environment that respects animal welfare.

In 2018, the Training Centre for Agri-Livestock Development was established, with Rota Guido and Maccarese Spa as active partners.
The association brings together the key players in the agri-food sector to offer practical courses based on real-world experience, promoting the dissemination of skills and innovation throughout the supply chain.
