The number of feeding lines must be defined according to the house width to ensure uniform access to feed. Lines must be kept perfectly level to avoid imbalances, while feed pans should be progressively adjusted in height following the growth of the animals

Uniform feed distribution
Feeding systems are designed to ensure homogeneous feed distribution at all growth stages, featuring:
- self-adjusting feeders that facilitate access and reduce waste;
- high-capacity, easy-to-manage hoppers that optimize loading and distribution operations;
- drive units designed to ensure operational continuity and safety, even under intensive use conditions.
STORAGE
Feed silos
In broiler farming, it is common to provide at least two silos. The sizing of feed storage volume must take into account daily consumption based on the expected growth curve and supply frequency. Silos are typically sized according to consumption at maximum stocking density, considering the maximum achievable weight.
DRINKING: BEST PRACTICES
Optimal water management on farm
The system must ensure uniform and continuous water distribution along the entire line, with controlled pressure (0.5 bar for nipple drinkers) to prevent malfunctions. The water column should be progressively adjusted according to the animals’ age (from about 10 cm to 20–25 cm), also adapting to litter conditions. Filtration and cleaning systems are essential to ensure consistently clean water over time.

Nipple drinkers: water on demand
Line systems with nipple drinkers designed to ensure uniform and continuous water distribution throughout the house, with automatic pressure adjustment based on animal needs and different times of the day. The lines are easy to manage and clean, ensuring fresh and clean water and optimal hygienic conditions. Nipples must be positioned at increasing heights to promote correct drinking posture.
