APPLIED TRAINING IN A PRODUCTION SETTING
Maccarese Training Centre
For over 20 years, Rota Guido has been a partner of Maccarese S.p.A., one of the leading livestock centres at both national and international level, where a genuine training hub has been established, offering technical meetings, short courses and educational activities, including in collaboration with Prof. Lorenzo Leso. With over 3,200 hectares and 3,600 head of livestock, Maccarese is a benchmark in terms of scale and organisation. Rota Guido has supported its structural development for years, from the dairy barns to the most recent projects. The centre is now a leading institution for advanced agricultural and livestock training, integrating theory and practice through hands-on fieldwork.
COLLABORATION WITH UNIVERSITIES AND RESEARCH CENTRES
CERZOO: applied research and design innovation
Rota Guido collaborates with CERZOO, a research centre at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, contributing to the development of an experimental livestock barn designed to combine innovation, animal welfare and advanced control of environmental parameters.
The facility serves as a real-world laboratory for testing design solutions, technologies and management models, with direct benefits for the supply chain.

Shared knowledge and continuous updates
The company actively participates in technical and scientific events, such as the initiative dedicated to Precision Livestock Farming, promoted by the Catholic University of Cremona, or thematic meetings on animal welfare and production performance. Active collaborations also include publishing and educational organisations such as Ruminantia, contributing to the dissemination of technical and innovative content for the sector.
INTERNATIONAL TRAINING
Operational support for international supply chain projects
In international livestock development projects, Rota Guido combines design work with structured operational training programmes for local staff, which have already been successfully implemented in contexts such as the Ivory Coast through the Papan project (Programme d’appui à la production avicole nationale – Programme to support national poultry production).
The training programme covers all stages of implementation: from initial training on the use of equipment and data interpretation, to the provision of on-site technical guidance based on detailed designs (definition of reinforcement and installation methods), right through to the inspection of completed works. Support continues with the provision of assembly and construction manuals and assistance with logistics and shipping management, ensuring the proper organisation of materials and full operational autonomy over time.
TECHNICAL TRAINING AND EDUCATION
From theory to practice with industry experts
Rota Guido organises training sessions through events, workshops and partnerships with agricultural colleges, such as ITAS Tosi, bringing topics related to livestock design, microclimate, space management and animal welfare into the classroom and out into the field. Activities also include technical visits to farms, providing hands-on, practical learning.

Rota Farms Expert was launched in 2025 as a social media channel dedicated to those who work in livestock farming every day and want to stay up to date in a clear, immediate and reliable way.
Through expert content, professional opinions, contributions from the academic world and industry updates, Rota Guido has created an informative space designed to offer a practical and accessible insight into developments in animal husbandry.
