Stages of the process

When the farm needs to reduce the nitrogen charge to fulfil the restrictive norms imposed by the recent decisions about nitrates, the digestate is absolutely an easier product to be treated if compared to the slurry as such.
The digestate has to be previously treated for the separation of the solids from the liquids and then subjected to further treatments such as the composting for the solid fraction, and nitro-denitro stripping for the liquid fraction with reduction of the nitrogen charge up to 70/80% with subsequent economical and environmental advantages.

  • treatment of biogas with processo f biological desulphurization inside the digestors by desulphurizing bacteria and successive final reduction through filters at cooling cycle and recovery of the treated biogas through the feeding of cogenerator groups with power suitable for the available biogas quantity and production of electric and thermal energy that can be installed both in containers and in technical rooms

anaerobic digestion inside the digestors with biogas recovery and storage inside the gasometric domes on top of the digestors or in a separated gasometer

  • collection of further byproducts and/or waste from processing (from agrofood industry and others) and their storage in tanks and/or horizontal silos according to their S.S (dry matter) level

  • transfer of the liquid fractions and loading of the primary digestor through pumping stations and capacity meters for the control of the exact daily quantities and sequences

  • transfer of the solid fraction and loading of the primary digestor through special charging hoppers with dosing system and control of the quantities and sequenze during the whole day

  • previous mixing in special tanks or mixing of the liquid and solid fractions inside the primary digestor and successive transfer to the secondary digestor properly mixed as well.

  • collection of the animals' manure and slurry of different origin (cows, buffalo, pigs, equines, sheeps and goats, poultry) and their storage in special tanks or platforms

  • collection of the biomasses and substrate from vegetables (cultivations involved in form of different insilates) and their storage in special silos or horizontal trenches

High efficiency in the production of biogas (the highest as for unity of inserted product, both as animal's slurry and/or vegetal biomasses) and high production of electric and thermal kWh (at the highest market's levels compared to the available technologies) are at the base of the planning philosophy of Rota Guido's plants.
