Environmental conditioning

Generally speaking about the characteristics of the different zootechnic shelters, it is of the highest importance to ensure to the animals the best environment conditions, in order to reach the success for the breeding of any kind. The factors that influences the environment can be divided as follows:

  • climatic factors, such as temperature, relative dampness and air speed;
  • quality of air, related to the presence of toxic gas and dust;
  • "non-climatic" factors, such as the number of the boxes, the space for each animal, the type of flooring and equipment in general.

The interaction among all these factors have a strong influence on the welfare level and the animals' performances.
