The planimetric arrangement for shelters of these sectors provides for a rest area on litter (3-6 sqm/head up to an age of about 16 months and 6-8 sqm/head until the calving) and the feeding area on full ground with mechanized cleaning, or on split ground.
The catching and antichoking rack has different dimensions (height and cross distance) according to the age of the animals. The fencing and the gates as well shall be properly conceived so as to isolate all the animals during the feeding time simultaneously with the removal of the litter.

The solution with adjustable beds is interesting because of both the smaller room needed and its training function; since the beginning, it assures the full occupation of the beds in the shed of the milch cows by removing any problem of adaptation.
